Apparently these two don't play nice together. I get a dx9 error when trying to launch the game:
"This app. has failed to start because d3dx9_25.dll was not found. Re-installing the app. may fix this problem."
Any suggestions on what I should do? I'm downloading the patch(3.1) as we speak, but I doubt it will fix the problem.
I'm running Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP1.
EDIT: Compatibility mode doesn't work. Surprise, surprise!
DirectX10 and Tribes of the East
Install DirectX 9 from the TotE DVD. It will not cause any problems with DX 10.
Apparently Microsoft were so stupid that DX 10 does not include DX 9 as well.

No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.

Thanks, Asheera, you're helpful as always. Installing dx9 separately worked, but at first I didn't even consider this option: I was sure that dx9 came with dx10. Apparently all DirectXs come with dx10(since Warcraft3 worked, a game that requires dx8) except for 9. A stupid marketing trick or just plain ole fail?
