Community manager Acheval sends word that Ubisoft is sponsoring a new contest. The Heroes Fables contest is based on a <a href="/http://forums.ubi.com/groupee/forums/a/ ... 017963">20 page thread</a> started by SandroTheMaster on the official forum. It's a short story competition with various Heroes of Might and Magic V merchandise as prizes. All entries must be in English. I thought the same when I wrote the news.

But it's a good idea, and will help everyone get into the mood of the game.

I edited my article with a clarification: only residents of Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom can win prizes. The other entries can still be published in the story book. Read the rules carefully before you start working on anything.

seems quite odd that frenchies can't be in it to win it.

ubisoft is french as far as I know. and seeing as it's pretty much the last big European developer I thought they'd cut Europe some more slack.

that just goes to show that Europe is so small compared to America that it makes me cry a little within.

Good question. I thinkif you took the parts that you wrote and made it into a longer story than yes. Or you could ask everyone if you could use all the information in the thread as your own. But its debatable.

They're throwing a bone to US/Canada, since we cannot win the Collector's Edition contest.

The UK is lucky- they can win both!

Anyone started yet? I 've written the first part of my story and I'm very pleased with how it's turning out. Is anyonewilling to look at it after I finish? I think a second opinion is always a good idea with writing things.
