And why is that? I can't seem to find this announcement anywhere in that header...

But I never have, so that can't be it.

Can you give me a link from a page with that announcement? Maybe I'm doing something wrong...

Who logs in at wikipedia? I mean, I write stuff there from time to time, but the guys who actually have accounts there are the sort of people who write their contributions in their pyjamas while eating things out of a can, aren't they?

Wow but I thought only those that have an account can edit stuff?

Then what's an account good for? (not that I have one :D)

That's the strength (and biggest weakness) of wikipedia: everybody can edit stuff. The account thing has to do with earning reputation points or somesuch, I dunno...

People who put large, annoying banners in Wikipedia sure aren't getting any of my money.

(And I do happen to log in on Wikipedia; one advantage is to be able to crank up the standard image size).

Now it's mysteriously absent, so don't know. Maybe a random thing.

Asheera wrote:Random Thought: why do the Americans use weird units of measurements like feet, yards, miles, instead of the 'normal' and more usual metric scale?
Nothing 'normal' about the metric scale. If you were brought up in USA trust me, you would consider it 'not normal'.

Why don't people speak chinese? I mean, people speaking chinese are the most in the world (in number), if we only talk about quantity... Or why doesn't everyone speak english then? Do you think it is more 'normal' or something?

I would like to see a system in powers of 2 rather than 10 (like in the metric system) to resemble computers better :D
All humans do is to go to a place, bountiful of nature, and live there. Then the human multiplies and sucks all the wonders there. They move to the next. There is one thing that works the same way as that: a virus.
