@Koni: Had this been in Swedish, it would have been two of them... And it's really not 14 different definitions, just a few which have some diffuse meanings. Not that it matters to you now

Can anybody explain the rules to me? Why am I dead again? Isn't there always a safe letter for the next poster after somone's hanging? (In this case it was SWST with his D, who should have caused a save letter for my S imo).

Because those Safe Letters are applied only when there is the game master's turn. As you can see, there are 2 now, because you both died.

I can't find a passage in the rules about applying safe letters "when there is the game master's turn". I only read about a safe letter (after the first 5):

7.3- Players can ask for one "safe" letter after each hanging, that safe letter will be spent whether the next letter is wrong or not, ...

and so I gave always a safe letter to the next poster after somebody got hanged, when it was my turn as game master.
But maybe every game master can do it as he is pleased to.

You are correct, there are game masters that do as you said (including me), and there are those that play as GC now. Weird, huh?
