Here it's around 4ºC and this is without snowing...Kalah wrote:We have lots of snow, but it's not snowing right now. The weather is fair, but it's dark outside. -2.6ºC.

It never snows here anymore. I'm rather ticked about it. I blame Al Gore. The weather has turned cold in the south. It hoovers around freezing or just below at night... doesn't get much passed 60F during the day. I don't like winter.

Howering just around freezing here. Which means it's cold enough to freeze the windows on my car, but not quite cold enough to get ut some proper winter weather. I bought myself a heater for my car; I'll just switch it on in the mornings and it'll heat it up inside before I go out...

Here's something about our weather:
At my State, city and cities around, a strange kind of weather system started acting something like 8-10 days ago, and a really strong downpour hit almost all the cities at once. During just 1 hour, it rained what was forecast to rain during all the month! But it rained for 2 hours...3...2 days! 4 times the total forecast for november rained in just 2 days.
What happened? The worst weather disaster on this country for a long while, where many cities had flooding all over, many houses were destroyed, 114 dead (until today), 34 missing, not mentioning material damage, livestock, animals, etc.
Many main roads and highways got blocked by sudden earth collapses (one of those happened in my city and a truck driver died). One of the cities was 80% under water (Itajaí) and Blumenau, which is one of the most important cities of the State where many Germanians live, got catastrophic damage. It was poor and rich - nobody was really safe.
In resume, it was really awful. It wouldn't stop raining for so long - we are having problems with water supply (such irony) and I can't still clean my clothes properly. In comparison, it's nothing when we see on the news people saying that they were grabbing on the hands of sibling just before the earth catch them away forever...and those who lost all the family...
Today it's sunny, though, for those who are still here to watch it rises and sets.

Here, in Florianópolis, there was no flood, which was somewhat strange. Last year, we had a tough one, and it rained less...but now, it just rained, rained, rained - luckily we are on an isle, and water won't cover it for too long.

For some reason today it was pretty warm... at least, warmer than the previous days.
I'm still waiting for some snow this year... I hope there will be some in December this time
