I don't get why the rat gets in, but..

Code = animals names that are used in other words, or which words are acronyms. Something like that?

Like, cheetah would be a cheater, lion would be a candy bar.. etc.

OK for the next door let take African... err silverback gorillas don't live anywhere else than Africa right? So i would take an "ordinary" silverback gorilla for the second door...

OK, African wildlife would be my guess for the code, though it requires that "cat" can be taken as "wildcat", but beside that even the "conditional entry" remark for panther and rat would make sense.
