One of the very few polls where I'd vote a HIV unit over other games (along with Thunderbird, Earth Elementals, Fire Elementals, and possibly Angels).

Voted Heroes IV Mantis. How I just hated those flying bringers of doom. They had an irritating specialty which I kept forgetting and thus suffered additional battle casualties. But like I've said numerous times elsewhere on the site, I'm not a hardcore H4 player. I'm just a Heroes fan who occasionally plays the fourth part of the saga, always trying to find a way around the game's obvious shortcomings and then getting disappointed. Perhaps the soon-to-be-released new Equilibris version helps to fix some issues...

Dragon Flies, since this is based on looks. Dragon Flies look fantastic.

This one's hard to choose. I love all those buggers. :D But I finally settled on the Mantis.

H4 Mantis for me.The Dragon Fly looks a little plain for my taste, plus, the design of the Mantis looks better to me!

Mantis

the model looks better IMO. Also I like idea of big mantis as unit more than of flying serpent.

So these polls still keep going >_>

Anyways. HOMM3 Dragonfly. It doesnt look that good, but i have really good memories of that unit. Amongst other perks gave fortress caster almost always the first spell. :please:

Mantis is much cooler. The Flies are great in battle, but aren't exciting looks-wise.
Go Buckeyes, Indians, Cavs and Browns!

This is getting silly... next thing you know we'll have a "best humanoid" poll.

The Mantis looks cool, but it isn't anywhere near the Serpent or Dragon Fly. Hard choice between those two.. but Serpent Fly wins :D

I like the Mantis. I would have prefered the Mantis to be the top Preserve creeature in HOMM5 rather than another dragon.
Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

*Nodding rapidly*

Though we're not supposed to just write something in the lines of "I agree", I still wanted to point out how strongly I agree with GOW on this one ;) Sorry for the lack of interesting views in this post...

Voted for mantis, because it looks the best. Both concepts are similar: They are animals from the real world just various times bigger.
