I can assure you I know more people (inlcuding me) who are on the same boat. Regarding that, money will be. And until that you are gonna find out amusing little funny quirkies of life yourself. ;)
Working hard to save money doesn't qualify as a quirk in my opinion. But I must say, your optimism is a teeny tiny bit inspiring. I might try it out some day :D

Is it true that the Norwegian King knighted a penguin?

Yup. The Royal Guard mascot residing at Edinburgh zoo, which was appointed vice-corporal and official mascot in 1972. He's been climbing the ladder ever since, being given a special honour from time to time when the Guard participated in Edinburgh Military Tattoo. In 2005, the penguin called "Nils Olav" was given the highest military rank in Scotland, "Honourable Regimental Sergeant Major", and this time 'round he climbed to the top of the ladder and can be referred to as "Sir Nils Olav".

It's just for fun, in case you're wondering. ;)

I was really stiff at work today, and I attributed it to having worked out while I was on holiday. So I determined to ride my bike when I got home, for the first time in years. When I got home, it was getting dark, and it was raining. Still, I couldn't shake this urge to ride some bicycle, so I went out for a ride. Now I'm back, soaked, and minus one lung. ;)

You can't resist some temptations, hmm? ;)

I came so close to starting a topic showing that God supports the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (which, to be fair, is a controversial and not universally revered / reviled act). Should I go ahead with it?
I'm a hypocrite because I suggested that all life is sacred and should not be wasted without good reason.

You should not. Why on Earth would you do such a thing? :?? I've always seen you as a rather sensible creature..

@Banedon: If you do decide to go ahead with it, could you maybe post it in the Observatory, as I'm sure it would generate a lot of heated discussions? :)

Do as you feel, you will get what feel others. It maybe not exactly experince which you wanted.

Anayway I don't think so, that is on the same level like that God support Wise, Idiots, Rich, Girls...

It may be not wrong but it's not constructive. Here's nothing from that ever after.

Or here's lurking something more precise in your mind?
(Then bring it here!)
