Play H-Cronicles: TWT & TFM On UK Verion Guide

Getting The File
If you are not a member of fileplanet do so by joining
- Click Here <-
after you have done that, download
Heroes Chronicles: The World Tree & Heroes Chronicles: The Fiery Moon
Save them in a folder on your desktop, named "HC2" (just for referance)
When your file in inbound you MUST uninstall all of the "Heroes Chronicles" games, and remove the Heroes Cronicle folder.
You can leve the savegame if desired, but you must remove it from the 3DO folder
If you dont remove the games with the folders it just dont work


Prepairing The Prosses
1. Insert the Heroes Cronicles: Conquest Of the Underworld CD (just for referance)
2. Make two new folders in the folder you created named:
Pending - HCTWT
Pending - HCTFM
3. Copy all of the files and folders from the cronicles cd to both of the folders
4. Exstract the two downloaded games by rightclicking on them and "extract to wrldtree", do the same with the "fierymoon" file
The two files you downloaded can be extraced with the help of Winrar

Editing For Heroes Chronicles: The World Tree
1. Open the folder HC2\Pending - HCTWT\_setup
2. Remove only the data.cab files
data1.cab
data2.cab
data3.cab
data4.cab
data5.cab
and so on
DONT REMOVE THE
_sys1.cab
_user1.cab
3. Copy the folowing files from the wrldtree to the "HC2\Pending - HCTWT\_setup" folder
wrldtree\Disk1\data1.cab
wrldtree\Disk1\data1.hdr
wrldtree\Disk1\_setup.dll
wrldtree\Disk1\data.tag
wrldtree\Disk1\setup.ini
wrldtree\Disk1\setup.lid
wrldtree\disk2\data2.cab
DONT DO EANYTHING YET

Installing Them
Now you whant to strat installing the:
Heroes Chronicles: The World Tree
Go in the "HC2\Pending - HCTWT\_setup" folder
Start the installation by clicking on the "setup.exe" file
the installation is like the "Heroes Cronicles: Conquest Of the Underworld", but dont think of that.
install it in a folder like: C:\3DO\Heroes Cronicles, it creats a folder called:
"C:\3DO\Heroes Chronicles\Conquest of the Underworld"
Rename This To "The World Tree", so it says:
"C:\3DO\Heroes Chronicles\The World Tree"
DONT START EANYTHING YET

next install the:
Heroes Chronicles: The Fiery Moon
Go in the "HC2\Pending - HCTFM\_setup" folder
Start the installation by clicking on the "setup.exe" file
the installation is like the "Heroes Cronicles: Conquest Of the Underworld", but dont think of that.
install it in a folder like: C:\3DO\Heroes Cronicles, it creats a folder called:
"C:\3DO\Heroes Chronicles\Conquest of the Underworld"
Rename This To "The Fiery Moon", so it says:
"C:\3DO\Heroes Chronicles\The Fiery Moon"
DONT START EANYTHING YET


the next step is to install the "Heroes Cronicles - Conquest of the Underworld" and the rest of the series if desired

Short-Cuts
Since the installation of the:
Heroes Chronicles: The World Tree
Heroes Chronicles: The Fiery Moon
aint 100% after the orginal installation it doesnt make eany shortcuts.
So you can do it your self by:
Going in the:
1. C:\3DO\Heroes Chronicles\The World Tree
Where you can see the "WorldTree.exe" file
1. Right-click it-> copy
2. browse to the place you whant the shortcut, like desktop
3. rightclick -> paste as shortcut

2. C:\3DO\Heroes Chronicles\The Fiery Moon
Where you can see the "FieryMoon.exe" file
1. Right-click it-> copy
2. browse to the place you whant the shortcut, like desktop
3. rightclick -> paste as shortcut

Good Heavens! While I already have those games because I bought three of the Chronicles games, they just aren't that great to go through all that hassle to play them. Of course, if anyone just must have each and every Heroes game, I guess they can go jumping through all those hoops just to get these two lame games.

some time ago in the old board I found that someone had posted a link to the chronicles campaigns as custumized campaigns for SoD.. the site was in chinese but it was easy to understand where the dowloads were... so I played all of them in that way... If I remember correctly it shoul be in a WoG forum topic...

yeah but I am a big fan og 3DOs work.
And nog getting the ending is a big deal for me
and it aint mutch you have to do, it just looks that way
Its a guide to both of the games, it aint for just the one

Actually, you can get the freebies to work with much less hassle. At least, with the German version. I think the UK version should work the same.

Here's what to do:

1. Install the necessary (bought) Chronicles to some folder x.
2. Move the contents of x to another location.
3. Install the downloaded campaigns.
4. Move the contents of x back to x.
5. Put one of the CDs in the drive and start TFM or TWT.

That's it!

hmmm, but I like fideling with filez, its what I do
yeah it worked fine, but the ingame movies, gut #¤"#, but thanks.
and the installation is betterlooking since the regestry is installed corectly

What you say is
Install all Cronicles games
move Data folder out of the Heroes Cronicles Folder
install the two freebies
put back the data folder

that how I did it and now the ingame movies work fine
