Question about Tome of War (Disciples 2)

So I am replaying the game since some years now (in waiting for the 3-th part :oex: ) and seems to me that I have always missed this Tome of War (+25% XP for your party in battle). How does it work? Cause I have the Arcane Knowledge ability and see what it shows me when I try to equip the tome:

You have weapon master, the tome can't stack with the skill since they figured it would be too powerful (seeing how the tome's and the skill's effect is the same).
