TWINS ???
Wow, didn't know they could be so different lol.
Hehe reminds me of a case (I think it was in Belgium, but don't remember) of a couple ofwhich the husband was infertile. They tried to cover it up and went to the clinic where the wife was inseminated with sperm, that had DNa tha supposedly matched the husband's.
Unfortunately someone mixed up the sperm samples and the wife gave birth to a black boy (note that both man and wife were caucasian).
the twins remind me of that case

OH MY GOD !!!!
I'm sure that kid was asking a lot of questions like: "Mommy, why am I black?" "Daddy, was I adopted?"Lord Lakely wrote:Hehe reminds me of a case (I think it was in Belgium, but don't remember) of a couple ofwhich the husband was infertile. No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.

How many genes does it involve exactly?
Also, I'm sure your students don't like you too much when they realize they have to fill out 64 squares.
I love doing punnet (sic?) squares.
(Then again, I'm studying Microbiology, so I guess that's to be expected. )

Whether they like it or not they do it, and because most are interested they don't complain. As to your question, I don't believe a definite number has been settled on. Some early researchers were saying over 100, that's probably high and would be an interesting punnet. So we use 3 from each parent each which contributes equally to color and thus 64 squares.winterfate wrote:How many genes does it involve exactly?

Yeah, it's one of those things to do while I'm bored, about 2 hours a day.
I see.So we use 3 from each parent each which contributes equally to color and thus 64 squares.

@jeff: Google to the rescue!
I decided to run a search for genetic related problems and that was in the Top 5 or so.
I still remember most of my stuff too.
