The multiplayer maps....where?
The multiplayer maps....where?
Where can I download the multiplayer maps? I want to edit one of them
You mean the Nival-created multiplayer maps? That's how I understand..
What you have to do:
1) Open the following file: H5 Directory\profiles\editor_a2.cfg
where H5 Directory is the path where you installed Heroes 5 Tribes of the East (if you don't have TotE then open editor.cfg in the same path)
2) Find the following line: setvar map_editor_mode = 1
and change it to: setvar map_editor_mode = 9
3) Open the editor and don't open any maps.
4) Select Resource from the menu and then Open Resource
5) A new window will appear with an Objects tab. Highlight AdvMapDesc
6) Now you're in the folder which contains the H5 maps and campaigns. For multiplayer maps go to the folder Multiplayer. Notice that the maps are named strangely like S1, L2, etc... (S - small, M - medium, L - large, XL - extra large)
NOTE: when you save your map, save it normally with the Save option and save it in the Maps folder, otherwise you would replace the H5 internal maps!

No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.

No disrespect to Asheera, I prefer this method.
You can get the .h5m's here:
http://www.heroesofmightandmagic.com/he ... maps.shtml
put them in your maps folder. Then edit them with the map editor.
If you change the scenario description in the general tab:
i.e. "dragon pass special"
It will show up as a seperate map in the map menu within the game.
