When Will You Buy Dark Messiah?
If you're talking about the XBox-360 version, that it sounds like one shouldn't buy it.
For the PC version, ignore the average reviews. Low scores were given for two reasons: the kick, and technical problems. However, with patch 1.2, I've been able to beat it maybe five or six times with almost no crashes.
If you only plan on playing to beat it once, the kick will dampen the experience. But Dark Messiah is a game where every moment is to be enjoyed for its own sake. I challenge myself to play without cheap kills -- no barrels, no kicking off cliffs or into spikes or fires, etc. Some people have called the combat repetitive -- BS in my opinion. There are countless ways to play through any given sequence; I discover new ones every time playing.
I give the PC version of DMoMM a hearty "Buy" recommendation.
