~~HEROES IV COMPETITION~~

Unread postby Vidoja » 27 Apr 2008, 14:06

Hello everybody,

I am Vidoja and I am new at CH. I am also a member of HC where I first introduced my HEROES COMPETITIONS.

Currently, I am hosting the HEROES IV COMPETITION. I'm gonna explain how it works now:

Today (27.04) we start the HEROES IV COMPETITION. The competition is a competition (figures) that allows contestants to compete in the knowledge of gameplay in HOMMIV. (no expansion questions will be given) Any member of the CH can participate. All you have to do is:

- download the test for this round of competing on the link given below
- read the instructions in it
Here are the instructions from the test:
Heroes IV: Competition is a competition based on the knowledge of gameplay in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. It is organized on the “Celestial Heavens’’ (see link on page 1). Contact user Vidoja on the CH or by mail (page 1).
If you are a contestant:
This document holds the questions for this competition. They are on the next page. There are 5 questions, each is worth 20 points. Open a new text document (it can be .doc, .docx, .txt or any other, all text-file formats are supported) and write your answers. Please write down which question are you answering so that I can see is the answer correct or not. Don’t cheat please! When you finish answering the questions, save the file and attach it to a mail that you write to . Please specify your username on CH as well. (you can also write your answers directly in the text of the mail). The results will be displayed at the end of the competition (see page 1) and than will the summary of the competition be released containing the answer key and more details. Every member of the CH is welcome to participate. If you are not a member, join now!
- as you read in the instruction, send your answers to the questions in the text to ~ ~. This mail address will be available 24 hours a day.
NOTICE: In your mail please include the following info:
1 - USERNAME
2 - NAME OF FORUM (you write down Celestial Heavens)

- wait till the end of the competition.

That is it. It is very simple. As said before, when the competition is over, the rang-list will be posted and the 'answer key' will be available for download. If anyone wishes to put in a complaint, please do it in the 24 hours following the end of the competition. I hope there will be no cheaters and that this competition will be resolved in a good-competitor spirit. I wish you all the best of luck.

Cool quiz, I just sent the answers.

I was tempted to go looking for answers at one point, but I restrained myself. :D

Yeah, don't look for answers, it won't be fun. OK, so we have the official starter.

Too bad that these kind of contests arent good for the internet, because its very easy to cheat for those who want to cheat, and honest ppl know that and thus dont bother at all.

2Vidoja:
I would recommend to focus on tactics tasks for contest. For example you create a save with started battle, and the goal is to win (or to win with the minimum casualties)

I'm pretty sure, if you would managed such contest just a year ago you would get a dozen(s) of volunteers. I don't know where they are dawdling now... Gravyluvr, Hodge? ... Our other champions? :D

Don't get me wrong, your tests are good, but I have proved long ago and I have nothing to prove anymore. I played alot Heroes IV in tournaments long ago...2003-2005....maybe next time ;)
