Yes, good cuisine is 50% taste and 50% presentation.

Of course, presentation is out the window if you're only cooking for yourself. Doesn't matter as much then :)

Well I did post that only to lure out the squeamish in here. And of course, I had a good idea of who would come out of the woodwork to go "Eww!" in a suitably effeminate voice :devious:

And why shouldn't the honey be opaque? There are many types of honey, and ways to process it before sale. You don't really get clear honey around here, at least not in regular stores, so opaque is what I'm used to and it tastes good. And it goes well with the blood and spices in black pudding.

PS: making an effort to make food look good when not trying to get into someones pants/skirt is a waste of time.

You'll pardon me if I also pass on the hockey pucks.

Personally, I think men often deliberately cook 'wrong' so they won't be asked to do it anymore... like doing dishes or laundry.

Actually I'm hell to be around with regards to dishes, as I have to do them myself to make sure they are clean enough. Meaning if anyone else is doing them I'm prone to inspect... not popular, I can tell you :)

There, there, I'm sure you did your best ;)

Actually I was more concerned with the reactions I've gotten from hovering around women doing the dishes :gong:

Hey, I happen to know women who couldn't clean dishes to save their life. One friend of mine didn't rinse it with water after cleaning it, so the soda she served us tasted like soap. :vomit: We told her straight, though.

Maybe girls are doing the same thing we're doing with washing clothes etc.? Doing it badly to avoid doing it at all? ;)

Chicken leftovers with rice and sauce for lunch. Tossing in some sallads and garlic bread to make it even better. Hungry. :yummy:

Yes, that's often right. My cousin long time pretended that he cannot spread butter on the bread so he was always served by the girls around. (mum, grandma, one more grandma or she-cousin)

He hadn't problem with that when there was no girls around to be found.

That's life. :D

Pretending not to be able to butter bread? 8| Can't have much use for self-respect if you do that.

But people let you park in handicapped spaces, so it all evens out.
