New King`s Bounty Web Site
New King`s Bounty Web Site
There is a new, full-featured Web site for the upcoming King's Bounty: The Legend. Available in four languages, it describes the various features of the game, from the characters and the role-playing system to magic and game locations. There are several sections under construction, but with a little luck the publisher won't end up with a half-baked site like MightandMagic.com.
Speaking of King's Bounty, did you know there was a <a href="/http://www.boardgamegeek.com/images/gam ... ardgame, released in 1991?

Here we go again with a Russian company that can't be bothered to have a native English speaker proofread.

Yeah, that misprint is first thing that would draw your attention on this website. Jeez..King Imp wrote:"

I think if there's any real problem someone will figure out how to mod things to make them accurate.

By all means, elaborate.

For the love of the gods, only final version of the game shall be translated into English by pro's. Website has been translated by webmaster and alph of the game by devs.
Also, the misprint can easily happen if you type too fast and it can also happen to English-speaking people.

It's all fine for a family homepage, but for commercial Web sites a little more attention to detail is expected. Especially when there are tools such as spell checkers.Akul wrote:For the love of the gods, only final version of the game shall be translated into English by pro's. I thought that was a big deal about h5 where they were putting graphics over gameplay and how the h3/h4 fan base doesn't have machines that can run these new games..."
No not at all. It's 2008 not 2002. I have a 5yo PC and I'm not expecting it to run any new game. That will be the min specs for all new games coming out.
What has H5, or the fans of H3/4 got to do with this game? I dont see the connection.

Re: New King`s Bounty Web Site
Well the game is called King's Bounty, so there's at least one tiny link to HoMM. Plus, the game has several similarities to HoMM (hero with skills, stats, spells wandering on a map, fulfilling quests, battling monsters, conquering cities, gathering artifacts etc.) that might attract people who are interested in HoMM.Ryder wrote:What has H5, or the fans of H3/4 got to do with this game? I know what KB is, I have it on my PC now and had it on my C64.
I could understand the complaint if Ubi were making it but not some company without any previous ties to the franchise.

Looks cartoonish, plus no dark elves. Oh well, it'll probably be fun. At least it'll work on my 3 year old PC...

For me, "cartoonish" is always a big plus, no matter the genre.Moragauth wrote:Looks cartoonish, plus no dark elves. Oh well, it'll probably be fun. At least it'll work on my 3 year old PC...

Haha I don't have a problem with it. I like the fact that it has global spells, like Age of Wonders II, at least if I'm reading it correctly.

The key word here is Recommended Specifications. The Minimum System Requirements aren't available yet.PhoenixReborn wrote:Yikes, looks like I might have to rethink getting this game:
Recommended Specifications:
• Processor Pentium IV 3000 MHz or analogous AMD
• RAM 1Gb
• Videocard Nvidia GF7800 with 256Mb or analogous by ATI
For myself, I have a 3½ year old computer which meets all the recommended specifications except my Video Card is a GF7600 with 256Mb … so I'm thinking King's Bounty would probably run okay on my rig. I'm just wondering what copy-protection they're planning to use.
