Where are the official maps (H5)

Unread postby GohozoqPohobo » 10 Nov 2007, 18:17

I can't seem to find the official maps anywhere on my computer. This would lead me to think that they, in fact, are not to be found, but I saw someone with a download able version of Warlords, and I presume he did not remake it.
Are they hidden somewhere, or did this nice person really have to remake the whole map?

Thanks PhoenixReborn for the link, and thank you Neckie for doing the work. You people are amazing.

The map maker writes the text that appears in the map in whatever language he or she desires. The impact on the player is mostly in text messages and question boxes, since most map makers do not override the standard names for objects, a feat which became possible with TOE.

Since all the text for a map appears in external files and is not embedded in the scrip code, which has no auto-translation facility, translation must be done manually, but it is not quite the difficult task it would be for embedded text. Provided, of course, you are proficient in the target language.
