Actually... No. One of the reasons Book 2 has been delayed so much is because the artist of the portraits couldn't find the time to colorize his artwork (due to other work and engagements). That's why we finally decided to use them "rough" and I believe it looks quite good.Corlagon wrote:Looks quite excellent Strange that the portraits lack colour but I guess this will be resolved in-game.
Ah, may turn out a little off-putting with the style of other portraits but still they look great IMO. In any case it's the gameplay and storyline that matters most and I doubt we'll be disappointed
Seven cheers for Marzhin
EDIT: @Marzhin, noticed (what looks like) a small flaw in the given date for the campaigns on the site, 835 and 829 A.C. Call me a hardcore nitpicker but here's a quote from Solmyr:

Just completed first map. Here is my review so far:
GAMEPLAY
Toooo easy. True, I didn't play it on high difficulty, but I don't remember when an neutral stack (that has max. 4 creatures) engaged me in combat. Even taking over cities Shark's Cove and the one serving Aranorn was too easy with my 150 War Dancers and 100 Master Hunters.
If you make an update, I would highly reccomend making enemies stronger.
STORY
For the greatest part of the game, there was no story which, when you take easy gameplay for a fact, is a bad thing.
However, I like the story when I entered the mountains. It even made up for lack of it during middlegame.
Anyway, I am going to play 2nd map soon (having to study now and mapmake later) and shall post a review of 2nd map once I finish it.

Marzhin, I'm not sure you need to do that. I did manage to beat it. It just very tight in the beginning. If you wait even one turn too long before attacking that first garrison, you lose. However, it is possible and the mission is excellent! I really enjoyed this one!
Once you get past the red army and through the first garrison, it's relatively easy to outrun him. Made it more interesting to have him right on your heels.
There's just no margin for error in the beginning and that seems to be frustrating everyone.
Great job!

No, it is connected with Walkthroughs and gameplay tips and the best place to find those is in the other tread where players reside. This is place where all other talk about LotA resides. Mapmakers post tips for mapmaking here, not "How to complete a map." tips. They often don't even remember other maps.I think it's related to mapmaking.
Of course, that doesn't mean that you can't post questions here, but the chances that somebody shall answer on it are slim. As you could see, your question was answered in H5 subforum, but noone but me replied on your question.
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.
