Yeah, thanks for reminding me about google! I'll take a look later, I'm going out for shopping :disagree: My mom forces me to do so. She said I should buy a new dress. But I can't complain, I don't want a new dress I want a new Computer! And I'm saving my money for it. :D

I wonder if it works the same as those with socket X2. Btw, what architecture does dual cores have? Simple or Complicated or probably some new tech? ;|
The X2 is name for dual core technology in general from the AMD, on the other hand Socket939 and AM2 are just names for different socket pin outs. Currently is used socket AM2, leaving you behind with s939. :-p
Regarding sockets the used X2 dual core technology is the same, basically.

I would say overcomplicated, seriously - too much on me if we should plunge into details. Google can spit out numerous pages about them.

Mostly important are intructions and integrated memory, memory bus part. Also rumours about AMD having software able to draw more power from the X2 processor with combining the cores into one. They maybe (probably) are having this but they never been so kind to release it. So, it's thesis atm.

fe Intel processors can share theirs on processor memory when AMD processors are having integrated memory controller with the processor. This is the most important difference in Intel vs AMD tech. Allowing to speed up in diff circumstances.

Games usually cannot use power of more processors, nice exception is GalCiv. Traditionall games want one core with as much raw power as possible, aaahh. :D

Welcome to my world. The weather is getting me down and I'm not looking too forward to a conversation I get to have tomorrow.

Indeed. It was a very unceremonious end that lasted less than a minute.

Thanks for the kind words Dragon. But I'm not too bummed about it. It was a fling: short and sweet.

I doubt it .... perhaps a succession of flings, but then I can't be fagged arguing over something so silly ;)
