I saw something like that for real... guy falls in the hole and the casket falls on top of him... now there's a weird way to go.Kalah wrote:I also watched a movie called "Death at a funeral", which had some amusing elements but generally sucked.

Saw the golden compass, very enjoyable. Interesting setting with a mix of fantasy and sci fi though some scenes are easy to predict. That bear reminded me of the whitebear riders in tote(:D) and okku from motb. Seriously voice and character was very similar though it wasn't as massive Nice cast, Kidman still looks amazing.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

From what I read the other day, the movie isn't as anti-religious as the book it is based on. Haven't read the book nor seen the movie myself though, but I guess it would be harder to be successful with an anti-religious movie than a book. A book doesn't cost as much to make and can pick and choose an audience, as it were, whilst a full blown and costly pew pew/magic and fairies and flashy stuff movie would need a more general popularity to be considered a success.
Of course, anyone feeling an urge to start one of those religious topic flamefests would be wise to reconsider. I'm just saying, in a purely precautionary way.

I'm just saying - there have been probably hundreds of movies over the years that could be probably labeled "pro-Christian" but as soon as one comes out that is allegedly "pro-atheist" or "anti-christian", out come the picketers.

Got this 2-disc edition DVD of "Lord of War" for Christmas. I was just about to see it. I've seen it before, and I liked it, but here's the thing. There were lots of trailers and commercials before the feature started. I don't buy DVDs with that sh!t on, so I'm returning this one...
