I recomment not upgrading zombie's at all (unless you really really got to many rec)
it's not worth it, all they have to do is stand and let the sceleton archers kill them
I like to raise vampires and sceleton archers, sceleton archers basicly kill every unit while vampires take out shooters, liches rule aswell though
just abuse mark of the necormancer so you can raise your lost sceleton archers at the end of the fight

i was looking through the new skill wheel for Tribes of the East now, and dam... i feel so un-special now with my necro.... every other faction cept the barbarians can get Cold Death now?! booooo!!!!

i think i may become and avid Haven player soon, i do like what they've done with them :D. if you got Light and Dark Magic, pick up Fallen Knight and get Twilight, you just got yerself a pretty impressive spell power bonus there.

it seems they kind of "de-specialized" a lot of factions though :(, i mean wth? everyone can use Brimstone Rain now? formerly a Demon Lord only skill. Triple Batista formerly Knight and Ranger only. Suppress Light, and Seal of Darkness, also used to be wizard only on the Light and Wizard and Ranger on Dark. dam and the list goes on.

they are gonna need to take the caption off Cold Steel now too, because it still sez "Not only Undead creatures receive these enhancments" because every hero cept the barbarians can use it now! LOL

yeah i mean what the frick. Demon Lords could use Brimstone Rain + Gating to assault castles easier, Necros, Knights and Warlocks had Death March to help with that. there is prolly a few i'm missing, but the point is each faction had something they were better at that another faction and so on.

now its like you can build a hero like any other hero out there, the only difference is going to be what spells you have in your mage guild and what creatures you have.... to me they just made it boring this way.

You can look at that from another angle. You can gain the same skill with two different heroes(e.g. Knight and Necromancer), but it will have a different grade of usefulness for them.

Also let's not forget that each class has more options which is better for gameplay and strategy. Though some perks I'd rather not see them widely available..
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Isn't it more fun like this? Now you don't know what skills your opponent is going to choose.

As opposed to Titans on Death March.
