There's still Y to consider.

:P Yep. I always forget there's a consonant out there that actually has all the premises of a vowel, and none of what it takes for being a consonant. Has anyone ever wondered why is "y" considered in all languages as a consonant and not a vowel? :| I never found the answer to that question...

And still it's a consonant: in English, Romanian, Hindi (yep, I know even that) and so many other languages all over the world.

Yeah, on loanwords. And mainly on new loanwords. Still doesn't explain why it was taught in schools in the early 90s and maybe even before. Also notice that older loanwords are writen in normal romanian.

Damn, I hate dangling from a rope. ;)
