Agreed. It's not that any of them are abysmally bad, it's just that they are lacking in every respect.

Looking at the HoMM V demon you would expect this to be a high-level kickass unit instead of the awfully wimpy unit it turns out to be. Rather disappointing...

Based on looks, it was either the H5 Demon, or Grunt. H3 ones don't look very demonic. At least, to me. And I don't really care for how the overseer burns. Looks...Ugh.

Anyway, the H5 Demon gets this one, from me.

The overseer is good. The fire along with his bulging muscles make him look like he's ready to explode. That's jawsome.

Just voting on plain appearance, I chose the H3 Demon. Looks 'demonic' enough. His'older brother' the H3 Horned Demon doesn't have much improvemt over him, only a little speed and defense.

I voted for the updated Heroes III demon.

The armor looks quite nice and indicates that the unit is elite infantry - just take a look at the golden battle gear of his. Also, the horns of the unit look longer and more pointy, indeed they are reserved for running head first into the enemy.

The Horned Demons may not be the best level 4 unit in Heroes III but they still are, at least, quite capable of defending Inferno's only shooter from enemy attacks. That's the main use for them in my H3 battles.

Uhum... uhum... H5 upgs. have slight better look, but both H3 and H5 ones are near useless. And I really don't care that much for defending the even more useless magogs.
I think this poll should be called Demon Evolution, and have H4 Ice Demons in it, just to have something to vote on.

I voted the unupgraded H3 demon. The H5 demon os wigglig his butt to much for my liking and it has a funny tail.

I'll vote for the H3 Demon here. None of them really catch my eye, but the H3 Demon looks the best, I guess.

I actually "like" the appearance of an H5 Horned Overseer ... the animalistic qualities are nice and the demonic fire burning on its back is a nice touch IMHO.

H3 horned demon is too much decorated. And why name it 'horned' demon anyway ?

H5 demons are all too generic.
