I'm terribly sorry to hear that Myst, my uncle got diagnosed with similar several months ago, he's still hanging on and staying strong, but it's a tough battle, I wish you and yours all the best of times in the time that he has left, and pray that he stays strong for a long while yet

@Misty: I second Elvin's and stefan's wishes.
I'm really lousy at saying the right things in these situations...but, if you ever need anything, I'm here for you.
Including the preparations for next year's April Fool's joke/prank.

Well they say bad news travels in threes...last night I got other news. One of my older brother was working on a roof, and he fell off. He was rushed to the hospital. There was a blood clot, and he is in ICU. I'm not sure what is happening, but I seriously hope things don't get much worse.
Warning, may cause confusion, blindness, raising of eybrows, and insanity.
On the Christmas time everything must go only better. I say ya.

I agree Scarlett!
I'm sure things will get better soon. Sometimes you believe that nothing good will ever happen, yet something always does...life is a balance.
And since you're getting lots of bad Misty, I'm sure you're going to get lots of good soon.

Well, it's the way I see it.
You have your good days and your bad days.
It all evens up in the end.

I mean that, if you sum up all the joy and all the misery, and divide it by the amount of people, you get an average which per definition is balanced. Of course, this was a joke seeing as it's a pointless thing to sayCeres wrote:Can you explain that further?
I just find it hard to see how people can say there is balance when some people live fat and rich for a long life whilst others barely have time to starve to death before they die. Seems like a denial of reality... of course, one can always aim for "having had a short and crappy life on earth through no fault of my own"-cred in the afterlife, but that isn't a sure thing, depending on who you ask.
Who the hell locks these things?
