Fine, a few month for you people that are starving yourselves... (over here the comma is used for decimals)

True, the comma shouldn't really be used that way, $160.406,00 looks better. But it wasn't me that put that comma in there :)

You guys DO know that as an uninformed American, I never knew that other countries used the comma & period differently in numbers until I started seeing you guys posting large numbers here. See? This forum is very educational!

Yeah, since they decided to make education in the US the internet really is taking off as a source of useful knowledge.. while still maintaining abundant amounts of over-analyzed trivialities.

$160.406,00 looks better.
usualy when i need to use the comma i leave out the dots... looks better imo.

I just found a leftover raisin bun on the kitchen bench. Dunno how long it's been there - the mould hadn't really gone green yet. Oh, well. *munch*

I sometimes forget food in my fridge, only to discover that a new ecosystem is forming. I just like to think if someone breaks into my apartment and tries to steal my food, they will pay!

Hmm, it was a long time since I went to school, but when I think about it again, I don't think we used commas at all. Dots yeah, but never commas. I know my faithful TI-68 has a comma, but that's for some other purpose other then decimals (like 12.5 etc).

This is the food thread, so I think I'll go make something to eat =D

My roomate moved out a couple of weeks ago, but neglected to clean out the fridge. I just swept everything into a trash bag and tossed it in the bin. I don't want to know what things had started growing on it.

It's the same thing as far as I'm concerned. :)

I remember from botany class there's some technical difference, but I don't remember what it is and I'm too lazy to find out. I'm guessing the mushroom is just the stalk and the hat (the reproductive organ), and the fungus is the whole thing.

:D

as for comma's well we don't use them at all in numbers, just a decimal point where required, as for food

well bacon, egg, hash brown, tomato, cheese all in a bun was just great!
