Yes, same here. How inspiring. :D On the other note my grandma was a perfect cook. ;)

Obviously not. Evil button mushroom are far from tasteless. Their wretched taste spoils everything they are put in. :vomit:

Just made some sandwiches in the oven. Mushrooms which I know we ALL like, tomatos, cheese and some oregano. Guess all the sallad making wore me out.

Mushrooms are fungi. They are only good for sucking up OTHER flavors in stews, etc to sort of stretch them out a bit and make it seem like you have more to eat. Potatoes do a much better job in a stew and are way cheaper. Mushrooms on pizza are just a waste.

Not against you. I believe that everyone has different tastes. I just don't see the point in the silly things. It's not like they have any nutritional value - or flavor... so what's the point?

Well, most of the time it's pure for taste. For me, i like tha basic stuff, no extra's added to any dish (well sometimes).I just want the essence of the food, the way it's supposed to be...

Not to mention, there are no species of potatoes, to the extent of my knowledge, that grow on feces or decaying animal flesh. The same cannot be said for mushrooms.

TT wrote:If by good you mean able to not get the whole family into the hospital from starvation i agree... but imo enjoying great food enough to take the time to prepare it right is what makes a good cook.
No TT, by good I meant good, as in tasty, of high quality you know .... the very definition of "good" :D

mushrooms on pizza are just excellent, I love button mushrooms (champignons) in bolognaise sauce, mushrooms in salads or anything is a winner I reckon .... well just about anything maybe :)

Well you might as well eat them, asandir. Because when you're dead and buried (may it be a long time away), you can bet that your going to be a nice slow dinner for a fungus.

There are TO MANY "GOODIES" in my house! Yeesh! I haven't even started baking cookies and already the house is full of sweets. We've got left over Halloween chocolate, the Chocolate Truffles I've been working on, Cheese cake, Pineapple upside down cake, TWO opened bags of Oreos and my hubby just HAD to bake sugar cookies last night. You can't move in my kitchen without running into some 1/2 eaten sweetie!

Yeah, because they use artificial fertilizers in this day and age... in most places anyway.

Pineapple? Yuch! Ever since that time as a kid we used diet pine-apple soda to mix our moonshine with I've been highly sceptical of pineapple :nervous: Was dreadful...

What does an upside-down cake involve, anyway?
