I'm a believer in the Packers, and if you think the Dolts could come close to takin' down the Pats in a rematch, you need to have your temperature checked. With Dwight Freeny out, their whole defense will suffer...and as for Marvin Harrison making a difference? He hasn't done anything all year...why should he start now? Reggie Wayne is who I'd be worried about, and he played against the Pats. Either way, I'm sure the if the Refs side with the Dolts the way they did in the first game, it could be close again...it's hard to beat two teams @ once...even though the Pats did it.Caradoc wrote: I'm not yet a believer in the Packers. I gotta see them beat someone better than the Bears.
The cheater Pats could fall to the Steelers or maybe the Colts in the rematch. I seriously doubt they run the table.

Leave it to the Lions to absolutely blow a golden opportunity. I'd rather have them lose every game they play than win a few games and totally suck it up later. I swear, this happnens every time I get behind a team. I should start rooting for the Cowboys or Skins... Seeing as how the Cowboys are going to kill the Skins today, I think I'll root for them. Go Cowboys!
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Yeah well with Sean Taylor out it was only a matter of time until the Cowboys started making deep passing plays. His presence (or absence) changes the defense completely. I'm frankly suprised the Skins held the Cowboys back as long as they did.
Nevertheless, it was a fun game to watch. Both teams played well, and fought hard until the end. Sad to end up on the wrong end of the stick but I came out of this game feeling much better than that woeful loss to the Philadelphia Pigeons the weak before. :annoyed: If Campbell doesn't throw that stupid pic on that 2nd to last drive, the Redskins could have easily come away with the W.

The poor cheater Pats just never get a break from those mean old refs. I wonder why.Liquid-Silence wrote:I'm a believer in the Packers, and if you think the Dolts could come close to takin' down the Pats in a rematch, you need to have your temperature checked. Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.
This statement still stands. LSU lost to Arkansas in triple OT.Vlad976 wrote:Does anybody want to go to the national title game?
My top 25 pick 'em is not off to a good start this week...

Alright, Mizzou better take care of their bidness and beat Oklahoma next week. I do not want to see Ohio State snore their way into the national title game.
Great Sodium Chloride! Da Bears pulled off the comeback against the Broncos!
And along those lines, anyone see Keith Olbermann's Worst Person in the NFL? That was some funny stuff.

I really have to agree with you. I mean, for as long as I can remember, it's always been one of the big schools OU(boomer sooner!), Penn St., Notre Dame, Florida, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Ohio St., Miami, and more recently USC(in my lifetime anyways), but this year, everything seems just so WIDE OPEN. Like ridiculously wide open. It's become more like college basketball(even more so really...). And while I DO like it, I still want OU to continue their dominance in football....especially over Texas.jeff wrote:Most of the 'experts' agree with you, there is still the possibility for one last massive BCS shake up.
