Swallow your tongue woman...
But yeah, the city walls are small compared to the creatures, luckily it's not very bothersome.

Yes, such things happen, ...still happens in RoE.

Trust me small walls are better.
Half the time in heroes v I can't see the creatures inside the castle because the wall go transparent.

H3 is still a fine game, even after all these years. This screenshot makes me feel nostalgic. I had not played H3 hardly at all for the last three years, and stopped entirely when H5 came out. Now, as I gaze at this scene, small walls and all, I get an itch to play.

It's much faster, one reason why I never consider to lay my hands upon h5. Time factor. (Still here's a lot to improve, reduced clicking, town micromanagers and ai interactively controlled by scripts/pl, each critical and each free to once be reborn into better life.)
I like smaller games, magical puzzles are also fine

@Milla aka. the Slayer
Yes, the H4 look is one what I was getting used for a long time. And I still have a reservations (hidden objects). But H3 is simplier, that may put your mind in more strategical approach instead of speculating over iso 3D.
Whow, that would be all. Sorry for repeating

I don't understand the caption there... who can help me? O_o
What the #$*! do we know?
In a strategy game the objects should be in proportion with their importance. "Virtual reality" is for FPS and RPG games where you need to control just one character.Milla aka. the Slayer wrote:Wow, I've never seen the actual game...it's like...totally out of proportion
The gorgons are 2 hex creatures and cannot move due to obstacles (tent and catapult included).Laby wrote:I don't understand the caption there... who can help me? O_o

And when SoD was released they added stakes (a pallisade) just outside the castle walls and greatly reduced (or eliminated, I can't recall) the terrain obstacles. Clearer Laby?

Haven't played much H3 have you Lab? :-)
As for myself, I cannot say this shot gave me an urge to "play again" H3, as I never really stopped playing that game since '99. Rarely a month passed by w/o me playing at least a small scenario or part of a campaign. I do get an urge though of playing Stronghold, as I haven't used it as home town in quite a while.

I hated that they simplified sieges in H4... the shooting towers where cool though.Milla aka. the Slayer wrote:It doesn't bother me. I don't play H3 anyway. It was just a statement due to being surprised by the looks of a siege compared to one in H4..
