Jut got back to college, and they told me my next semester starts in another 2 weeks. All this after I just left my hometown...

The academic year always starts on October 1st over here.

Normally it's in the middle of October for us but there is never a set date and they never tell you beforehand. Heh first year we began on 3 December

Just finished my last exam. It was a lecture that I was giving. Supposed to be 20 minutes long (+/-2, and they're quite stern about it), I did it in 20:15.

The lecture went well, but I'm less sure about the contents. I'll receive the grading in an hour or so...

Total points/Total intended points

In other words, the maximum intended value for a quiz is 10 points. If he goes over that value, anything over the top is a bonus.

I believe the term is 'extra credit'. It's supposed to signify going above and beyond, umm, something.
