Sitting through horribly boring classes is especially difficult when I know Tribes has been released and just waiting to be played.

I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

True. Still doesn't make sitting through Education Law any easier. ;)

Not unless you have it installed with the sound off :D Btw can you play anything in class if you are careful? How big is your class?

I stopped playing games in class when I got a C- in Torts.

As to my class right now, there are about 15 of us. Even with the sound turned off, I still wouldn't be able to play it. My laptop is prone to overheating with certain games and I'm sure it would for that one. Plus I'm paying for class, so I might as well pay attention. Well... as much as possible.

Yeah things are different when it's public and the professors are as boring as can be. You probably get the latter though :)

I paid NOK 420 per semester for my eduaction :D A purely symbolic sum.

Though I never considered playing games at lectures, that would be severly disrespectful to the lecturer. But then again, I was under no obligation to show up in the first place ;)

Happened a couple times that the lecturer was such a useless bore that I showed up at the first lecture and at the last just to see if he had anything useful to say at the end, and read the book on my own. No point sitting there listening to someone who's just reading straight from the book anyway.
Who the hell locks these things?

I think I paid about $10k for my degree that AUS$

but I still only turned up rarely, in the one class where you needed to attend at least 9 of the 13 lectures to pass, I brought a book and read for two hours .... that was a lecture with a hundred and fifty odd students .... useless course except for the credit it got me

Indeed. Took me forever to sign out of my e-mail. The button didn't show anything about it being selected, except the link, which wasn't too informative.

Either way, I'm heading home now.
