Genrally those are the beta spells with different names.
Some spells appear to be missing. Maybe they haven't decided on the names yet. There still are going to be 40 spells as far as I know!

@Orfinn:

I would never actualy write such a long list of spells because i'm too lazy! :D

Whoa down people, nobody said Berserk is a 1st level spell - there isn't any numeration beside the spell names and that means that is probalby NOT the order in which they are sorted. Berserk is level 4 as of now, and I'm certain it will stay that way. The bad thing in my opinion is the new names, I don't want Curse of Netherworld, I want Death Word, I don't want Circle of Witer, I want Frost ring :(

If they are going to change it like they did with the name, they better dont do it.
Yeah, but still I think that spells are all ready to 'deep' in codes and balance for Ubi to change it now. I should've said:

So...

I doubt that it would be very hard to change the names of the spells. It just might take some effort to change them in all the places they appear.

The names would be simple, but that's not what I meant, the spells itself and the system is hard to change at this stage (I think/hope)

And we were talking about the names. Just like the creature names were chnged into even worse names, so could the spell names.

Yeah I need to spam a bit to get my post rate back on track ;)

@ Daemian - Well yeah you've got a point there. But anywho -> The names are sometimes lame I agree, but is the system OK? (I honestly don't know - I haven't got the Beta, I think I'll try the demo - and see what that gives, cause I think the Beta will only ruin the whole idea of a good HoMM V appearing any time this year... which might be a false thought)

The system is bad.Very bad.I thought that it would be good to have fewer spells, but with different effects according to skills you have.It worked for me.But it was PnP.Now I see(damn!I cant stop rhyming)its not good for heroes. So many spells were very interesting, and deserved to get implemented, yet now theyre gone.Martyr, cure, sacrifise(I never cared about this one, until I got wooped with it in HIII map by comp ones).

Well I stil think fewer spells are good - yet from what I've seen the effects of the damage spells, and others are all close to each other.

If they'd be more diverse, like just 2 fire spells with one becomming armageddon and the other implosion - then the effects would be diverse and would make sense.

With curses and blessings it's easy to get the same effect twice, if not a bit more or less powerfull/combined with another effect. That's just the thing with those spells but enchantments and summonings could be very different from each other.

Nope, they're the ones that we're anounced on the official site after the beta was already a couple of weeks old. :disagree:

Namaste. Image

All heroes, except the Barbarian, can learn any spells of the 1st and 2nd circles. To learn higher level spells, you need to have one or more of the magic schools, i.e. Destructive, Summoning, Light and Dark.

E.g.: To learn Confusion, a level 3 Dark Magic spell, you'll need Basic Dark Magic.

To learn Armageddon - a level 5 Destructive spell - Expert Destructive Magic.

Magic Immunity - a level 4 Light spell - Advanced Light Magic

and so on.
