A friend of mine once played WoW and i saw what was going on in Molten Core, just do the mobs and listen to the uberdork who tells everyone what to do. I have a job for listening to other people, when i play a game i wan't to enjoy it (sometimes work together but then it comes from both ways).

there are other quest types.

ive found:

1. get a trap from guy X, 2. lay trap 3. bring trapped critter back.

Interesting i do like the tool to change the view perspective.
Switching to 1st person view is errily like playing might and magic, but without turn based.

And having a pet is kinda cool.

Party generation

Unread postby CoffeeGnome » 23 Oct 2007, 20:04

Despite WoW's popularity and these single-character rpg's out there, creating a whole group that you coordinate to work together to fit your own style of play has a special place in video game history. These other newer games may have better graphics but they do not replace that feal.
Thank you MM, bolder's gate, icewind dale, and the old gold-box games, for keeping this feel alive for as long as you could.

I think WoW is a very nice game. But I'm not fond of MMORPG recently. I enjoy being isolated. :devious:

I don't know how WoW works but if it does like the other MMORPG which

-eats time
-eats money

then, I'm happy with my current ones. :D

And more recently wizardry 8 and anachronox.

And I bet there are plenty of console rpg's with parties in them.

Are there really no single player party-based games any more? Or is this another fiction like the death of the adventure game?

I even might consider playing WoW for the sake of Arenas (an hour a day or so) but I'd rather throw 13euros in the river then pay Blizz for that amount of time.
