Oh yes. It's Dispel magic spell isn't that good, and the hit-effect requires that you can actually hit the enemy.

Never had a problem connecting with it. Besides, dispelling is what my wizards and clerics are for.

It's hard to hit someone who's invisible or has some of the nastier protection spells. And the inqusitor is four times better than clerics-- who are for healing -- and wizards -- who are for wast amounts of fast damage.

A wizard's true sight will take care of invsible enemies and there are plenty of spells to strip protections. Let the spell casters strip the defenses, send the figheres in to take care of the mages.

But, my favorite class is the Ranger...to specialize as an Archer.

I disagree here OD, cause the inquistor gets instant dispel magic at super high levels, then can still cause major damage with the Avenger .... it's a win-win, there are times you just need another dispeller especially one that isn't gonna fail

The probelm is the Inquistor's dispel is going to shred your buffs if you are close enough. You can have your dispel; I'll keep my divine spells, +20% fire and acid resistance, and bonus damage to demons and dragons.

nah, dragons aren't too bad, and I don't subscribe to the set traps theory either .... plus the dispel is too damn useful for the fearful and the confused ....

Just reinstalled BG1. Played BG2 a lot, and now I felt like taking a step backwards and start aaaaall over...

I would do that again though the first wasn't nearly as good as SoA. Of course it has at least a second replay value, too many things to see and some funny moments.

Right... now I've gotten the thing up and running, installed the patched etc... but the game is incredibly choppy. I know I must have done something to fix that before, 'cause I don't recall it being this bad. Can't remember how I did it, though. Any ideas?

Yeah, I remember I turned up the frame rates in BG2, but I have no recollection as far as BG1 is concerned. I'll try using EasyTutu.
