Does the computer player not attack them or something? lol

I encountered a same problem. AI surrounded itself with caravans and was unable to leave the castle with its lv20 hero

I saw that in Lota, very annoying.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Hey don't get me wrong, I still like the game. But actually in the screenshot, the one with red caravans is from the ToTE demo so I don't see it changing.Akul wrote:To PhoenixReborn:

How much do you guys use caravans? I use them occasionally to get creatures from dwellings, but I never use the castle to castle thing.

All versions of Heroes have had AI quirks which resulted in similar disadvantages for the computer players. UBI should attempt a fix for this, but Heroes AI has never been intuitive enough to solve every position anomaly the computer heroes encounter. Maybe someday (sigh).

always amusing seeing these things, whatever game it happens to come from

Likewise, the AI's handling of boats in Heroes II was clear proof that Jon van Caneghem didn't play Heroes.PhoenixReborn wrote:I guess it's more proof that the developers don't play the game themselves.

Far too many people speak their minds without first verifying the quality of their source material.

The term AI, when used to refer to any game's computer controlled opponents, is a misnomer. Consequently, given the current state of technology, there will always be problems comparable to this someplace in every game. All we can do is argue and complain about when, where, and how they will show up.
