two middies of Stella just went down so smoothly while I was enjoying an extended lunch break at the Brass Monkey pub .... I'm so not in the mood to be back at my desk :D

I had a little drinkie yesterday; a glass of my 15 year old Glenlivet :) Man, that thing is strong... maybe I'll put some ice in it next time, even if it's considered a sin to blend out such pure and wonderful spirits.

it's never a sin to put something on the rocks, it can cut some of the harshness, whatever makes it work for you is fine as far as I'm concerned

90 is also great but I find 60 min better for a casual drink after work. The 90 min is definitely more of a weekend brew for me. I've never tried the 120 min IPA but I've a feeling it would probably knock me right out :). I really want to try their pumpkin ale, but because of the crazy laws here in PA I can only buy a case of it, which I'm not too keen on given the price.

That's a drag. I'm not typically a huge fan of pumpkin brews either and I am hesitant to purchase more than one bottle at a time. As for the 120, I can't remember if I've had it before. Seems like I would since IPAs are my favorites.

to answer your question OD (but of course this is subjective in the extreme) I would have had a Stella, or a Heiny, perhaps a matilda bay pilsner, something along those lines .... as it warms up those will become even more popular to me

When you've had plenty, it doesn't matter what you drink afterwards, even a mix with a lot of different things in it...

I'm not familiar with a lot of different types of beer and such, but I prefer something that isn't Danish. I dunno, maybe it's just because everyone else drinks it, I don't like it that much, but I'm just not too fond of Danish beer anymore. But it's probably better than a lot of other things, I dunno. I prefer Heineken these days, or maybe Budweiser, it's a long time since I have tasted it.

But to me, the most important function of alcohol is to get drunk, not the taste.

I've always gone for flavor over how quickly something gets you smashed, especially with beer. If I want to get drunk, I'll stick with hard liquor or wine.

Agreed - not much point in drinking beer to get drunk IMO. Well, for that matter, getting drunk is itself very overrated.
