Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2

Unread postby EliteKill » 18 Jan 2007, 10:28

Well I just looked through my old games when I found an old (?) Real-Life Stratagy game called Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2. Well I remembered how much fun I had playing that game and decided to try it out again.

So if anyone else still plays that game and wants to have a discussion than just post here...

For those who don't know the game it's about a war between the Alies and the Soviet Union. The game has lots of sci-fi technologies like time-traveling or weather machines. Its a fun game that combines stratagy and humor.

You gotta love that game, I recently got Command & Conquer: The First Decade (By certain means) to replay Red Alert 1 and Red Alert 2. It's very fun to play for an old game. Had to play something, I can't wait for Command And Conquer 3 Tiberian Wars. So currently I'm play Red Alert 1 and will make my way to 2. :)

I never played any other C&C games except the Red Alert ones. I think I'll get C&C 3, but even better, it has been unofficially announced that Westwood are working on Red Alert 3!

The chrono soldiers and prisim tanks rocked. The desolators were also pretty cool until I realized how worthless they were.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

RA was like the 2nd or 3rd game I ever played (can't remember if i got to play Dune 2 or just got to watch). Good times. I till regret being too little to be able to be good at it. :( RA2 was kinda dissapointing, but i've seen alot worse.

Desolators were actually pretty good if put in an IFV.... and does anyone has/had Yuri's Reenge expansion pack? It's awesome. I just can't stand not using a mind-controling tank :D

I still play Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge, and have never stopped because of all the great mods.

I agree with TT, Red Alert 2 seems underwhelming compared to how good original Red Alert was.

I still have it. Though i never played it a lot :(. Also i didn't have yuri's revenge, too bad :(. But the times that i played it it was kinda nice.
I think it's kinda cheesy with the corny music, but i think that's what everyone likes about the whole Red Alert/Comand and Conquer series, not hard to learn, looks great and sounds nice...
