Tribes of the East in October?

On the <a href="/http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/ ... ">official forum</a> yesterday, Jolly Joker claims that the Tribes of the East expansion will not ship in September: <i>"Did you read anywhere that it has gone gold? It hasn't, yet, so forget September."</i>

Going gold is when the master disc is sent for duplication, a few weeks before the game comes out in store. Publishers sometimes announce that their games have gone gold, either via a press release or a forum post. We'll keep looking for such an announcement...

I think we still have some time. If Ubi either this or early next week will announce that ToE has gone gold, they should make it in September.

If they need more time to work on it, for whatever reason, I say let them have it.

I agree with Artur...it's certainly getting close to the cut-off time for September, but it's certainly still possible. JJ's only speculating due to the time it takes to release a game after the gold master is released. However, he's still most likely correct. Early October is a more feasible time period.

What I'd been hearing is the 28th ... just over 3 weeks from now. So there might be as much as a week for them to get it gold and still meet the September target. But Omega's got it right - release it when it's ready, so that we don't have to wait for v3.2 to make it playable. If that means a delay, so be it.

PheonixReborn has specified on HC that Heroes V: Gold has not "Gone Gold" but Tote Has, and is on schedule.

I think you misuderstood daystar. He just *thinks* that tote will come first which is a logical assumption.

When I went online to Amazon and preordered yesterday, it still said Sept. 28th. I looked at it now and it does say Oct 16. How cryptic.
