OH

MY

GAWD!!

Those pictures are freaking amazing!! There will be the "Its Heroes 3" crowds though, as the majority of the units from Guardians Grove shows the same creatures H3 had, with the excetion of the level 3, which is now ghosts (no more mummies) and level 6 which is now wight/wrait (no more black champion).

All in all though, I love what it is looking like so far... gameplay will be the true test, however.

The concept art looks amazing but the screenshots (on the official site) do not. They're actually pretty disappointing.

Moreover, is anyone else concerned about the fact that there's also an 'academy' faction? That only leaves 2, and we have might and nature from H4 which would be obvious choices. However, Ubisoft said there would be a completely new town. Maybe they just meant a combination of might and chaos in H4 or something.

How can you say those screenshots are disappointing? What is disappointing about them?

As for the "Academy" faction... although it is all but confirmed, remember, it is NOT confirmed yet. Academy could be a neutral and non-usable town type...

But I must admit, vampire concept art is really cool, but the screenshot on the official site where the vampire is attacking, I hate it.

These screenshots rule! the art is fantastic, and the creatures look posotively awesome. That spectral dragon looks really cool. also, strange seeing a vampire with a sword as a weapon, but also glad liches are back. wraiths look more like grim reaper, which is nice to see soemthing new. as Vision suggested, that would be cool to have older towns that could only be played if captured from a neutral alignment, and not from the start of a map.

No matter how much I try to twist it, the screenshots just don't look that great. The undead terrain is pretty badly made (compared to the grass/trees in the life screens), and the units look average, especially the vampire. However, I like the zombie.

Overall, the screens just look like they were taken from a game on the same engine as Warcraft 3. I can appreciate Ubisoft trying to make H5 playable on older computers, but IMO bring it down to Warcraft 3 level is too much. Especially that Heroes is much more zoomed-in than the RTS.

Great looks! I like the "doomed and lonely" look with that green toxic (like in Disiples II).

The lineup is kinda surprising actually with all the change in the lineups.

We've all gotten used to see the Wraith as a weak, slow, flyer but now he's practically a Grim Reaper! One hit = one kill and all magic abilities disabled! Yikes!

I do want the Dread Knight back though :( He was so cool that when you got a few of him you knew that he was unstoppable.

The upgrades that changes a units role is interesting, but I'm not sure I like it since it may discourage you to upgrade :/ It would be better to have a basic skeleton who either gets a bow and arrows OR armor and a better weapon.

All in all, looking forward to this :)
