Ahhhh... but isn't that the first step on the road to recovery? To realize that you have a problem.

Young people believe the TV & Movies that Lots of money buys Lots of Things and THINGS make you happy. As we get a little older, we find that isn't always true. Yes, things are nice to have, but they don't bring the same kind of true, lasting JOY that other, less matterial things, can bring - like watching your children grow up. Sometimes you do just have to live an learn.

However, you do need SOME money to make a comfortable home and a safe place for that family, to assure that they are well fed and healthy. So, in a way, money does buy happiness. You just don't really need as MUCH of it as media advertising would imply. You gotta remember ALL ads are designed to make you believe that you would be happier if you had lots of money - and even MORE HAPPY if gave most of your money to the person trying to sell you something.

I would enjoy a maid and a gardener... but -alas- I'll just have to do those things myself.

good call Letty, and as for helpers, well that would be great, but I think doing it yourself is more character building - at least that's what I'm told

Don't know if it builds charactor... but it does tend to cause large piles of clutter and there always seems to be dust and dog hair in the corners.
