a question though, since GC got his free letter, can TT get one cause a few people have been hung? Or is it one safe letter, and then I get to hang TT as well?

The why I read it no one got a safe letter until you posted and then the number hung are the number of safe letters, so hang me all. :D

7-2- Players can ask for one "safe" letter after each hanging, that safe letter will be spent whether the next letter is wrong or not,
I guess then that there's a safe letter stored in the safe letter bank after each hanging, and they just get used when asked for .... so I will let TT's slide down that path, I'm going from scratch now though, no safe letters at the moment, so someone take a risk

You guys suck at this... when you hang people each victim = 1 free word. Then the next X (being how many free words are) guesses are free. No asking required.
