Once classes start, I'm not sure if I'll be able to connect at this time myself...:S

Ohio, in good ol USA. I work 3rd shift tho. Kills the social life, but good job security since very few people like to work this late.

Mytical wrote:Ok random thought for today. What are your top 10 reasons for posting in the random thought thread? Just curious really.

My top 10?
10 - Starting a new thread for every random thought I have would fill this forum to bursting in a week.
9- It can be about anything, which is good.
8 - helps fight spam in other threads (does not stop it, just helps)
7 - Mischeivous person + boredom = BAD
6 - Great way to vent.
5- Friendlier atmosphere then most threads.
4- Easily distracted by shiny things
*sees shiny object*
10 - agreed. 9 - agreed. 8 - what's spam?. 7 - eh?. 6 - Aye. 5 - Oh, well, at least there's no rape discussions here. 4 - sun is nice.
3 - You feel safe.
2 - Spam is considered spam.
1 - *Falls over the desk with no visible circumstances.

And some bad news. The worst aerial accident in Brazil happened yesterday. More than 185 people died in São Paulo. Bless their soul.

A list of the names of those who had fallen is down there - and the news.

Oh Lord! Tar, that's horrible. I doubt that it will make the news here, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all those lost souls.

Somewhat it is. Actually, it has been on news abroad as well. It was shown here. When I read the list of dead people, a man was named just like my uncle - but he's not. A relief actually. So, this sorrow - I mean, in general - is punctuated by the happy frenesi of the games in Pan-American. So, it's an odd feeling right now. ;|

I understand. It's only natural to feel bad for the people who have passed, but to be happy it was NOT your relative.

Yeah, that's ok.

So, let's move on from these awful news! Somebody, tell us a joke!

Well DUH!!! (I'll have to watch the video when I get home to my DSL. Dial up SUCKS!)

--------As per Tar's Request-------------

A man went to his appointment with the urologist. In the examining room he told the doctor, "Don't laugh!"

"Of course I won't laugh," the doctor said. "I'm a professional. In
more than twenty years I've never laughed at a patient."

"Okay then," the man said, and proceeded to drop his trousers, revealing the tiniest 'willie' the doctor had ever seen. It wasn't any bigger than a triple A battery.

Unable to control himself, the doctor started giggling, then fell to
the floor laughing hysterically. Ten minutes later he was able to
struggle to his feet and regain his composure.

"I'm so sorry," he said. "I really am. I don't know what came over
me. On my honor as a doctor and a gentleman, I promise it won't happen again. Now, what seems to be the problem?"

"It's swollen," the man replied.

Love you, TAR!!! Thanks for the phone call on this terribly boring day at work. Your English is very good. You'll just have to pardon me for not trying Portuguese. Heck, you should have heard Kalah trying to get me to pronounce Ethric's real name! ;| I'm hopelessly American - pardon USA-ian.

Ok - Random Thoughts...
CHICAGO (Reuters) - Muscular young men are likely to have more sex partners than their less-chiselled peers, researchers at the University of California Los Angeles said on Monday.
...
"Women are predisposed to prefer muscularity in men," said study author David Frederick of UCLA.

Well DUH!!! This has NOTHING what-so-ever to do with the fact that most people prefer a MATE with intelligence or a sence of humor. It's just about what most women FIRST find physically attractive.

What do YOU find most 'striking' when you first see someone? What makes you want to talk to that person?

With me, it's Blue Eyes. Don't really know why, but I even find women with blue eyes to be more attractive. I can remember one very pretty girl at church (long, long ago) with the most beautiful blue eyes. I instantly liked her. When we went on an over night trip with the youth group, she was one of my assigned roommates. I was CRUSHED when I found out that her beautiful blue eyes were just contact lenses. Her natural color was pale gray. I actually felt let down.

My personal trainer and long time friend 'Fjor' also has blue eyes. His beautiful muscles (like TAR!) may have first caught my eye, but it was his blue eyes that held my interest long enough to make a friend.

My (not so secret) crush on a forum member also started because he has blue eyes.

So fess up! What one feature do find unexplainably attractive?[/quote]

That's got to qualify as one of the 10 dumbest "research" studies I've ever seen.
