is there a way to mod a heroes portrait?/ topless,nude mods?

can anyone give me a quick run through on how to modify heroes' portraits with a different image? can this be done?

also i know there is a topless skin mod for some of the dungeon units. are there any other topless mods or nude mods? especially succubus and pixies?

As far as I know the dungeon one is the only 1 out there.

The editing I have no clue. (not that artistic)

This can be done and i am doing this.

Extract the game data called PCX from H3bitmap into your mod folder with Res Editor (version 40.0)

You can edit the images as BMP files with any program you like.

After you done, rename it back from BMP to PCX.

Actually not rename but convert, use irfanview or acdsee for the task. It also can nicely explain you crashes in the other thread.

OMG, i just noticed that Irfan View has PCX conversion!

Anyway can you explain why is it better to convert with Irfan rather than just rename the extension? Althoug i can guess already...

Because they are different formats. That it is.

(By renaming you can change only name but not the internal structure of the file)

Huh, when you are in, you may consider to modify the hero paperdoll screen (should be called heroscr or something like that) that will give you a bigger place to show your nice eye for perfect curves and art in generall. - After all 58x64px cannot be called like a big place. (Even h2 is having much more to offer here)

Quite possible in all version of heroes from H2 to H5. Methods differ based on which version you would like to change. From your name it's almost looking like h4, so if it so, visit h1-4 thread faq, here's link to portrait utility.
