If you took a cleric and especially if you can cast Regeneration, you can have an easy time with even tougher cities and armies. No potions necessary. In general, however, with a strong barbarian, you can get through most fights without magic and without an army.



Do NOT use Quick Combat, as it apparently makes dubious choices. Some easy fights end in severely depleted health and mana, so you will probably want to fight all combats yourself.
