Aw, that sucks, really.

I had some odd times in university, but for those matters as you described, nope. It was a small city (so, everything was near) and the largest of that area of the state, so, everything was focused on that. The sad picture was when we had no classes due some apoplectic reasons and our classmates that lived at cities 200km away or so lost their time, and nothing would be done to repair that situation - besides that, there was those professors that couldn't do much than showing us a movie here and there - actually, there was a discipline which I just haven't done anything at all and got an 8 as grade.

I learned to study by myself too, because the course changed its discipline schedule, so I had a really difficult time. I was in the middle of the course - it was when I vanished from the boards as well.

I ended up understanding that we cannot expect everything from those places, and we must get all what we can get from teachers that are willingly available for sharing their knowledge and time - the good teachers - and that are always going for new things and studying. :) If it wasn't for my teacher, I wouldn't have finished my course, me thinks, because he supported me when I started a project that was completely out of focus from the new course, because it would be accetable if the course didn't change. I got an awesome 9,7 for that final project (in which I almost got crazy too and vanished a second time from the boards ).

Teachers are good supporters, but bad teachers seem twice as bad as they should be - lower our morale, decreasing our resistances and, sometimes, casting Zero spells.

my uni professors were a pretty cool bunch, some were unforgiving but generally fair, but maybe I just got lucky :)

This could go in a news thread, but I found it neither funny, pointless nor bizarre, so I'll slide it in here.

The video shows a 3D animation of the 9/11 crash, as seen from the viewpoint of an engineer. Researchers from Purdue University have built this computer model and run it through a supercomputer for about 80 hours. Have a look, I think it's quite interesting.

Not much you can do there, stefan! :)

Unless you somehow find a way to post over 10,000 times in a day, then you may stand a chance of passing his post count in this lifetime. ;)
