Sorry Elvin. I haven't had a lot of time to dissect your article. I'll try to get to it later today.

That wasn't specifically directed at you, after all you did say you were busy. However I saw that only Caradoc and Corribus have checked it so far.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Well, that's about everyone. :) I'm sorry I cannot offer too much more. I still haven't played this faction..

I've offered a small tidbit at the Academy thread (the rust of not playing HOMMV is starting to get to me :D).

I updated my own article...feel free to peruse it...it now has complete Hero Development, the Faction Overview, and the first two vs. strategy parts (vs. Haven and vs. Sylvan).

Feedback is, as always, welcome. I would truly appreciate it for the strategy part, since I always tend to use the same battle strategy against all factions...

Perhaps that's why I get ganked at Heroic? ;|

After playing the Necropolis on Hard today I realized how much harder it is to finish a Fortress game on Hard.

The Fortress starts out too slow, IMO.

Defensively however, they own...big time!

Nothing like 800+ Shieldguards to boost your ranks in town defense. :)

I've noticed the number keeps going up. I ended up fighting a Fortress that and an extra 1,865 shieldguards. That wasn't a pleasant fight. Especially when I lucked out on a retaliation with Magma Dragons and wiped out about 20 of my Warlords. :disagree:

I have (potentially) the final draft. It touches various subjects.

If any of you feel it's missing something critical or essential, then let me know what I should add. Otherwise, just read it and give your comments/feedback as usual. :)

Well guys, I'm about prepared to call this little project a bust. Not much discussion going on, which is not surprising because half of our "membership" has not shown up but once or twice.

So, I'm not really sure what to do at this point. One option is just to open this forum to everyone on the boards and convert these to normal strategy threads. 'Fate and Elvin (and anyone else who's already put time into their article) if you can incorporate what little discussion there is so far into your article and clean them up a bit, maybe AS will be willing to post them alongside the other official strategies? O_D AS has particularly expressed interest in a Fortress strategy since one does not yet exist on CH.

Any other thoughts before I go to the big green guy? If you guys want to try a little longer and see what arises out of Destro's post next monday, we can do that. I'm sorry that this didn't quite work out the way I envisioned. Regardless of what we decide, I want to thank everyone who volunteered and did put a considerable amount of thought and work into what has been accomplished. You guys are great.

Tell Angelspit I'll still get a Fortress guide up. It will still take a little time seeing as how my Gun Control paper is proving to be a major concern at the moment. I should still be able to have it in by the 23rd. If you need anything more, let me know Corribus.

I say we wait. Hocoino is already preparing a reply to academy and sylvan that has some new things into account. Destro's thread would also be interesting to see, after all I don't think we are in a hurry to cancel it.

I am not to positive to be frank but one more week sounds reasonable. I'll check the academy thread to incorporate the things I missed.

Aw shucks...thank you Corribus! :)

Well, I believe we should wait a little though. If this trend keeps up into the following weeks, THEN you can shut down the project, we can fix up the articles, and you can go to the big green guy. ;)

I don't mind sitting on it for a while, if that's what everyone wants. Just to forewarn you all I will be out of town next week, so you'll be on your own. Maybe the lack of discussion stems from the fact that your articles were released gradually over time? Destro will be releasing his fresh on Monday I believe.

There were just a few comments, nothing that could prevent a discussion :) But with destro busy, infiltrator away and half of the others not visiting it is small wonder. Around this time there are exams anyway.

We'll try to manage next week though my free time practically comes to an end today. I'll find some time but we'll probably have to check with each other so that we can gather together.

No problem - I'll leave it open at least through my vacation (9 July) and see if things pick up by then.

Ok, I've finished up the abilities for now. I'll get into the units and building strategies later this weekend if possible.
