OK, I give up (almost).

Yes, she did:
Approximately 30 or so years ago your mother went to the Festival of Life. The events of the festival inspired her. She took red crystal and, with the idea of a Golem in her head, created Crystal Dragons.
Thirty years ago. Even assuming it took her a few years to make a working model, that’s more than enough time to build them and still have years before the Restoration Wars, and probably enough time for other wizards to copy her work on their own. So not only could they be there, they don’t even have to have been made by Dracon’s mother.
Can you quote all this text (from day 1)?
BTW - thank for quotes.

Knowing that one of artifact is Power of the Dragon Father, I think that Vial of Dragon Blood contain also his blood. Don't forget that Oswald spend all his life searching this artifact, so he (and Mutare - from spies and prisoners) could know better of nature of this artifacts.

Your mother has been training Dragon Slayers for as long as she can remember. It is now time that she train her only son. Your mother knows how smart you are and therefore she can't give you any ordinary task. Approximately 30 or so years ago your mother went to the Festival of Life. The events of the festival inspired her. She took red crystal and, with the idea of a Golem in her head, created Crystal Dragons. She then set them loose in this little valley. The only thing going for you is your ability to train priests and mages into enchanters. You have control of a small village. Your task is to kill the Crystal Dragons with the troops given to you so you can prove to your mother and to everyone else you are ready to be a Dragon Slayer. The task is great so be careful.
You’re welcome. :)

Thanks. Now something from this quote:

I interpreted this text like that: Dracon's mother (isn't she named Draconia - similar to heroine from H2?) created these dragon golems severeal weeks/months ago, inspired with her memories from Festival of Life. I don't think that these golems roams free in Bracada for 30 years.

implying there are no Kreegans yet on Enroth),
Sry to interupt this interesting discussion, I have learned alot in this thread but a question still remains and is a question I have had in mind for far to long.

Are the planet M&M 1?-10 and HOMM 1-4 taking place on, named Enroth?

Sorry to interrupt too, but my sense of English tells me that the moment of reference for the Past Tense "took" is the one at the beginning of the quote. Having it refer to the near past just doesn't click with me. ;|

I'd say she created the Crystal Dragons on the spur of the moment, and now that she needed something to test her son with, they were just the perfect thing: "Oh look, how convenient! Crystal Dragons to test my son! Yipee!"

MMVI-VIII and Heroes 1-3 took place on the planet of Enroth, yes, according to the MMVIII and MMVI manuals. Heroes IV and MMIX, however, take place on Axeoth, and MMI-MMV take place on the microcosms of VARN (#4 I think) and CRON, the planet of Terra, and the microcosm of XEEN, respectively. (And of course HV has nothing to do with anything.)

Yes it is also the name of a continent. And also the name of a country, I guess (the country ruled by the Ironfists). But for the Ancients, the planet was known as COLONY.

Eh?? Then why did Melian introduce himself (?) as the Guardian of Enroth?

Depending on who he(she?) was addressing, it may have simply to avoid confusing them.

In that case, why not just say "Guardian of your/this world"?

Median probably took the habit of using the same name the early settlers gave to the planet when dealing with them. Makes communication easier when you use the same word :)

And for all we know, Enroth actually could very well mean "Colony" :P

Maybe the planet was called Enroth for ages, and Lord Ironfist just assumed that was the name of the continent when he asked what the place was named. As he became the only really powerful rules on it the name stayed.

Maybe, grammar never was my favourite part of English (as you can see).

If you reffering to Colonial Governor Padish, then remember one thing - British Empire (France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Spain and few more country) treated India, both America, Africa as their colonies.
Also look/read/play random s-f film/book/game where humans colonizated Mars - often Mars is refered as Earth's Colony but that isn't it name.

One more thing - from announcing of MM8:
The world of Enroth has fallen out of balance with the rest of the cosmos. As a result, the gateways to the elemental planes have been opened on your world, freeing the forces of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water to wreak havoc throughout the land.

You must form a party of up to five heroes to unite the human and monster races of the world in time to launch a joint campaign to close the gateways and save Enroth from planetary extinction.

I know what a colony is, thank you very much ;)

Actually I can't remember exactly where I read about the world being named Colony. I think it was somewhere in MMVII or VIII. I know whoever wrote the articles about MM on Wikipedia read it too :
Wikipedia wrote:Following the events of Heroes Chronicles: The Sword of Frost, Gelu, the leader of AvLee's Forest Guard and wielder of Armageddon's Blade, attacks Kilgore, the barbarian King of Krewlod, in an attempt to claim and destroy the Sword of Frost. As foretold by a prophecy, when Armageddon's Blade and the Sword of Frost clash in battle, the result is a massive explosion (known as the Reckoning), which destroys the world of Colony.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroes_of_ ... d_Magic_IV

And also from Might and Magic Tribute and the realmforge/Castlegobs wiki :
MMT site wrote:Karigor lies to the north of Jadame, together they form one of three continents on COLONY (the others are Enroth and Antagarich).
http://mmtribute.castlegobs.nl/game_geography.shtml
Castlegobs wrote:From this moment all events (unless noted otherwise) happen on a spherical planet Colony which has 4 continents: Enroth, Antagarich, Jadame and Karigor.
http://realmforgewiki.castlegobs.nl/ind ... Magic_Plot

But I totally agree on the fact the inhabitants of the world call it Enroth. It was made clear in the various games taking place there.

I think much of these articles are based on Castle Gobs info.

As far as I know (or thinking that I know ;) ) "Colony" as planet name came from description of Governor's Armor (at least Ribannah quoted it description).
And I don't remember about mention about this planet as Colony (and I really searched through games what was planet name - it was only brief mention in MM8 by Xanthos).

And one more thing:
