I guess I have some 500 posts for that :) But alas my post count will drop for some time in the near future.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Congrats Elvin! :D

That makes...7 Heroes if I'm not mistaken.
That's normal, people go away for holidays for some time. At least there are some core members that never go away for long
Ain't it the truth? ;)

I hope it's just a lull...I've grown quite fond of this place, yes I have! :)

We wouldn't know ;) But it's hard not to get attached to it. Of course there are times it can get too quiet but that's just temporary.

Unusual business meeting: Ok recently I recieved a promotion (fought it as long as they would allow me too). One of my first jobs was to come up with a budget for my group. Well me and the group put our heads together, and had one done that seemed a little above reasonable. We figured, however, that it didn't matter how reasonable something would be taken out regardless.

So I go to the budget meeting, and of course being the new guy I am stuck being the last to make my budget proposal. Sure enough every budget before mine gets something taken out or reduced, its sort of a given. Of course they argue about it, but in the end the budget guy gets his way.

My turn comes up, and sure enough one of our extra items was brought up to be chopped. So I got up, walked over to the budget guy, and sat next to him ready to discuss the matter. No lie the guy actually wimpered. No clue why, I was not even attempting to intemidate him or something. I calmly suggested that the item needed to stay, and he imediately cleared my budget as it was first presented. It was...weird.

Now I don't consider myself intimedating, or anything near that. I did start noticing something after that meeting though. Though the employees treated me the same, management seemed to suddenly get uneasy by my mear presence. It was like they were going out of their way to make me happy, and not just because I was the new person (we had a rash of promotions do to growth). Now I know I am a rather large gal, and I know that the incident where I lifted one of my (now ex) bosses off the ground is well known... Maybe it is just because I am new, or female, or *shrugs* but it honestly seems that the rest of management is now scared of me.

I was stuck in an ER for 4 hours yesterday and finally gave up after watching a stream of increasingly afflicted people shuffle in. Since it's all based on priority, every old person who hobbled in set me back even further.

But it wasn't a total waste of time. While I was there I ran into a woman I hadn't heard from in 3 years. Small world.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

I think I've ever only been in an ER once. Was about 11 and broke my arm. Don't remember much of it. Guess my brain got totally loaded on a coctail of endorfins...
I was at this other emergency room thing once, called the "legevakt" (doctor's watch), basically it's an ER that's not in a hospital. A round-the-clock office kind of thing. I showed up there 'cause it was the weekend and I had about a 41ºC fever. Turned out I had mononucleosis. I remember everything being taken care of as if I had the cold. Very calmly and restrained. Good thing, that, you don't really want to see doctors and nurses panicking when they see you.
