I added the Fortress thread, but I haven't really put anything into yet. So far I've been typing up my thoughts in Word and will paste them later.

I'm good to write an article when you give the word, nps. I do have one concern though... I don't, nor have I ever played the game on normal difficulty. All of my matchs with the exception of the Haven Campaign in HoF have been multiplayer online in which the format is under most circumstances set to hard difficulty.

So long as its not a problem, I'd have to base my points and article off hard difficulty, otherwise strategies, build plans ect ect .. may or may not be accurate.

By the way, I understand you'd like me doing Inferno, will I be working with someone else? Or is this a solo project?

Welcome to the forums, Destro23! ;)

@Corribus: I'll let the others decide...as long as I don't have to go TOO soon. :D

@Destro - Welcome! Caradoc, who was originally "assigned" to inferno, has agreed to give it up if you want it and take a more global role. Assuming you do want to go at it solo, I have updated the "Factions" thread. Caradoc, you are now free to float. Destro, you may write your strategy with whatever map conditions you feel most comfortable with - I would only suggest you clearly state what those conditions are in the article.

The rest of you: before you post any more strategies, we need to come to consensus about how we are doing this. I swear, keeping you guys on the same page is like trying to herd cats! :) I like Miru's idea of doing this one at a time, at one-week intervals. This allows everyone to participate given their schedules and gives us time to focus on one faction at a time. Once everyone has had a turn, we can assemble these into publishable articles for the CH page.

Elvin/Miru are up first. How close are you guys? Do you want a full week, or less/more time? Pick a deadline and then we'll go one week each thereafter.

EDIT: Also, if we want, doing this one week at a time allows us to release one article each week to the general public. That way we don't have to release it all at once later on!

@Corribus: Nice, nice!

I don't mind going second at all...shouldn't take me too long to type the stuff up.

Just have to decide WHEN I'm going to. :D

Alright, I'll start posting a schedule as soon as Elvin/Miru give me a start date.

I'll take 6th. It will give me plenty of time to tinker with some more strategies and allow me to adjust for my gun control paper. I swear, if it weren't for the studying, law school would awesome. ;)

I am not sure yet but I believe that one week should suffice. I will let you know in the next few days for sure.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Alright, O_D I will put you sixth. I have updated the "Factions" thread to reflect a tentative order.

Im not gunna be here today or tomorrow, but aside from that I dont mind going first, and neither does Elvin. We should be able to finish our article in a week however I think it would be best if we all finished (or did a lot of) our things this week, or a week before our time, and then starting next week we do debates.

If this is alright, me and Elvin can do our project this week, and since this week is finals after that he will have time to do a debate. Then next weekend the next faction can go, and so on.

But if we start debates now we won't have much to go on.

Miru, I agree. Shall we say, a week from this monday (June 18), you and Elvin will post your article? We can do it on a weekend day if you'd prefer, but I'm not sure if everyone here is internet-active over the weekend.

We will only discuss a given faction once the article is released, correct?

So...can I post my draft as I work on it...or would it be better to save it locally and post it when it's my turn?

My opinion would be to work on it locally, so we don't get distracted from the article currently being discussed. But... others may disagree?

I'm curious how you'd like me to go about the composition here also. I am ready to start writing anytime. Are we waiting for a certain time frame to release each article? IF so I'd like to release mine whenever your ready for it.

Do you want a discussion topic opened prior to the article posting?

Ok, here's a summary of the final plan.

Each person (or in some cases, team) gets a faction, and will write a strategy article of some sort, focusing specifically on how their faction matches up against other factions. A possible outline has been presented already. Each week, one person presents their article to the rest of the group in a separate thread. We then have a group discussion. The next week, another article is released, etc., untill all articles are finished. (We can continue discussing older articles if there is still stuff to be discussed).

When everything is done, we will need to determine a way to package the results to be "published" on CH's site. Perhaps Angelspit will have some ideas in that regard.

My personal opinion is that you should wait until your designated time to actually post your article. This allows us to focus on the article of the week. You may of course start your thread and post ideas or solicit information if you desire. I guess it's up to do. Destro, I believe you are inferno, correct? Currently, weeks 3-5 are open, so if you have a preference in there, let me know. nevermindspy and Soviet, I haven't heard from either of you in a while. Are you still with us?

Even though your posting date may be a few weeks, I encourage everyone to go ahead and start drafting their article as soon as you can. THat way when the articles are released you can focus on discussion. If you're ready to start writing now, go for it! You can have it done and then just post it at the appropriate time, modifying as you see fit in the meantime. Also, if we find that a week between articles is too much, we can always adjust the schedule as we go.

Let's make this a final call for modifications of the plan. Elvin and Miru, who are first, have said they would like approximately a week before they post the first article of the series. I have tentatively selected a week from Monday as the date, but we can move it forward if they like.

Sure. We'll see how we can put everything together.
