Random thought: sarcasm is sooo easy to take lightly and avoid unpleasantness. Why don't people take that path? :|

Not so easy - depends on who is being sarcastic, why and what it concerns. According to these you may smile, fail to even notice it or get angry.

Well, don't be too sure …

sarcasm
1 : a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain
2 : a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual

satire
1 : a literary work holding up human vices and follies to ridicule or scorn
2 : trenchant wit, irony, or sarcasm used to expose and discredit vice or folly

I tend to be a bit more straightforward myself; but then, I too have been known to use the occasional sarcastic tool. ;|

@HP
It seems we have different definitions of sarcasm. Ah well. Just thought I'd mention it.

Is it just me, or is the forum post rate decreasing rapidly?

The forum is dying.

Being straight forward insults most people more... mostly because they tend to get it more often.

As long as it doesn't involve MY eternity, I don't really care.

This forum goes in waves... New blood is needed but the truth is that a new great game is needed. I have to admit that I really haven't been playing my HOMM5 much (at all). I probably should have waited for the Complete version but I'm an overgrown fanboy.

Maybe in the fall I'll try the game again.

The forum takes new members... it goes through a lull in the summer also.

That's normal, people go away for holidays for some time. At least there are some core members that never go away for long :)

Btw I am now officially a Round Table Hero! Yay! :hoo:
