Anyway it would be cool idea to add one spell for creating Lover on the battlefield, almost better than boring Disrupting Ray/Bloodlust.
"The enemy unit possesed with Lover will protect one of your units with its own life. After combat you may hire this unit or it will disappear. Applicable only on living units with opposite gender, probability for success may vary. Once cast cannot be removed."
That as Holy Spell could be way better than Bloodlust....

@Aspiriins
Its berserk And bloodlust fits also under Dark Magic, cant see that spell under Light Magic.
There was mentioned in a interwiev or whatever that there were some misspellings to be found, the english translations werent complete. I bet everything will be checked and corrected before the realese.

I think that all magic schools should have a few spells which inflict damage, otherwise all players will be forced to learn essential chaos magic.

Re: Dark Magic
Why? Damage spells have previously (H3 and H4) usually been the weakest of their tier (obvious exception is Lightning and Ice bolt in H3, but that's more to lack of competition than anything). Of course, damage spells seems to be stronger now, but it can always be balanced out.weaponx wrote:I think that all magic schools should have a few spells which inflict damage, otherwise all players will be forced to learn essential chaos magic.

Damage spells lose their effectiveness against enormous stacks of creatures. In those cases, spells which reduce the effectiveness of the stack (i.e., weakness, curse, etc.) are much more useful. E.g., a powerful lightning bolt may only kill 10 creatures in a 100 creature stack (effectively reducing the damage the stack does by 10%), but a weakness spell reduces the damage such stack does by 25%.

Ooo, more wavy-curly motifs... Hypnotize uses them especially nice.
Does "living non-infernal" creatures refer to the 'good' factions + Dark Elves? If so, why would Dark Elves be affected by Unholy Word? (by the way the spell's name would sound better if it were something like "Unholy Song/Chant")

"attacks the nearest one with redoubled rage." That sounds scary! But does it mean that the enchanted unit attacks with double damage?
Dark Magic
and would the undead be affected by the unholy word? till now, it was only NOT affecting the undead. But now that power is transfered to the infernal creatures.
Who is not affected? Please choose the correct answer
a/ only the infernals
b/ infernals+undead
c/ undead ony
d/ all evil reces(Dungeon+inferno+necropolis)

All LIVING and non-infernal, so obviously it doesnt affect the undead.

Guys, I have a serious question here.
Can anybody tell me why we have
1. Suffering
2. Weakness
3. Confusion
????
THEY ARE THE SAME THING!!!
Sure suffering lowers attack, weakness lowers damage, and confusion limits damage by reducing stack #'s that fire. ARENT THESE THE SAME RESULT???? Why not remove the one (weakness or sufferering) that does the least effect and keep the better one while making another unique spell instead! I don't use either because they make no sense to me! Sure, you can use suffering over and over again, so why even use weakness? It just seems that the dark spells are redundant and need some unique ones like HOMM III forgetfullness.

How are they called in this list? I didn't play H5 long enough to remember the names.
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

Weakness = weakness
confusion = "forgetfullness"
suffering isn't on this list I don't believe. Unless weakness = curse and suffering = weakness.
it doesnt matter, theyre the same thing It's so stupid!
That's 4 potential spells that are the SAME THING!!! HAHAHA...dark magic is pretty good with the higher spells, but the lower spells are stupid, imo.

Curse and Weaknes are no way the same. Curse makes unit always deal the MIN damage, with means: no dice throwing.
Weaknes reduces the attack so that it can be even smaller then MIN.

Isn't it destructive Magic you really want to complain about? I mean, it's all damage spells, so the whole school is just one "same thing".LordErtz wrote:That's 4 potential spells that are the SAME THING!!! You guys migth want update the names of the spells. Most of them don't apply anymore.
And about the spells being the same: Curse is good in the short run, and Weakness in the long run, when you can cast it multiple times. And Confusion is used against ranged troops to stop them from shooting.
